WHAT: Jackson City NAACP will present the 2019 Man of the Year during its 93rd Annual Freedom Fund Awards and Scholarship Banquet. The event is the Branch’s opportunity to elevate the work it’s been doing to protect and advance civil rights while also honoring those who have committed to service. The Branch will also present a $500 scholarship award to a recent Jackson Public Schools graduate. The Man of the Year will be selected and crowned amongst local pastors, deacons, trustees, and male members of churches from across the metro-Jackson area.
WHEN: Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 6 p.m.
