Rooted in the fight.
focused on jackson.
For generations, the Jackson City NAACP Branch has stood at the center of the fight for justice, equity and opportunity in our community.
Who We are
The Jackson City NAACP Branch exists to achieve equity, political rights, and social inclusion by advancing policies and practices that expand human and civil rights, eliminate discrimination, and accelerate the well-being, education, and economic security of Black people and all persons of color.
A Legacy that shapes the work
This work did not start today.
From voter registration efforts led by Medgar Evers to student-led sit-ins and organized protests across Jackson, the NAACP has been present in the moments that shaped this city and this country.
That legacy continues to guide the work we do now.
a message from our president
We believe in Jackson. All of Jackson.

Our work is rooted in the understanding that this city deserves to be seen, supported, and invested in at every level. From infrastructure and housing to education, safety, and economic opportunity, the issues we face are real, and they require consistent, focused action.

The Jackson City NAACP Branch remains committed to standing in that work.
We are advocating for the resources our communities are owed. We are holding systems accountable where they fall short. And we are continuing the legacy of those who came before us by ensuring that progress is not just promised, but delivered.

This is not new work. But it is ongoing work.
And it will continue to require all of us.
